Movement Fundamentals
Walking & Running
- Walking — default speed, most accurate
- Running — faster but less accurate
- Backpedaling — 12% slower than walking
- Strafing — 12% slower than walking
Jumping
- Basic Jump — press jump to leap
- Crouch Jump — crouch mid-air for higher jumps
- Running Jump — jump while running for distance
- Landing — land softly to maintain momentum
Crouching
- Basic Crouch — lower profile, harder to hit

Swimming

Walking directly forward is the fastest way to move in Halo CE. Strafing and backpedaling are both 12% slower.
